Applied Medicine (BS)

Description

The University offers a bachelor of science (BS) in applied medicine.

The emphasis of Indiana State University's undergraduate applied medicine program is to provide students with classroom knowledge and clinical skills to be eligible for employment in the healthcare sector or graduate studies in a variety of health professions programs.

Coursework in the department emphasizes strong theoretical foundations in the basic sciences and rehabilitative medicine as well as critical thinking and problem-solving skills needed for effective patient care. Undergraduate students are encouraged to chose a minor or certificate program that aligns with their career goals. Students also benefit from clinical observation experiences with healthcare professionals.
