Discussing AI and Ethics

Tuesday January 9, 10:00 am-11:30 am In this Jumpstart January session, we will hear from a panel of faculty on how they talk to their classes about Artificial Intelligence and ChatGPT at the beginning of the semester. Methods for initiating discussion of expectations for AI/ChatGPT, how it is utilized in the career fields, ethical concerns, and improper usage and application of this tool are all factors that are open for discussion from the very start. Participants will leave with examples for how to share this information rather than shy away from the topic and hope (incorrectly) that students are unaware. Breakfast breads and fruit will be available!
